Helium rental vs. buying a disposable helium tank

It has been said "balloons make a party"!
So if we have a party coming up, there are couple of options when it comes to helium and balloons. You can buy a disposable bottle of helium from Target(or another large chain), or you can get a re-fillable helium bottle from a gas supply store like us.
Why should we avoid getting a disposable helium tank?

After you are done, the bottle is not re-fillable, and it has to be thrown away. This is not good for our environment nor our landfills.
It is way more expensive. On average a disposable 14.9 cuft bottle will cost you $53.00 from Target(as of 2/7/2023). A refillable bottle from us would cost you $29.00 for the same amount of gas.
A disposable helium tank, does not contain pure helium. It is 80 percent helium and 20 percent air. Why does this matter? Your balloons don't float as long.

Why you should get a re-fillable helium tank from us?

After you are done with your party, you return it and we will re-fill it for another customer. It doesn't end up in the landfill!
We do not charge you rent, for up to seven days. This includes the tank and filler. You just pay for the helium you use.
It is a lot cheaper. You save almost 50% percent by renting a re-fillable tank.
It is 100% helium. Your balloons will float longer and look better longer.

Balloons full of helium can add to the festive atmosphere of a party and create a lively and colorful environment. However, they are not the only factor that determines whether a party is successful or not. Other elements such as the food, music, guests, and activities can also play important roles in making a party enjoyable. However, if you do choose to add helium balloons to your party, for the sake of the environment, please avoid disposable helium tanks.

Instead choose to rent a re-fillable bottle of helium.

Many businesses like Hospitals, Veterinarians, Firefighters, and Dentists use Oxygen(02) every day.

Are there risks? Absolutely!

For instance, what can happen if grease/oil is on your oxygen regulator and you hook it up? The sane thing that happened on the Apollo 13.
The words "Houston, We've got a problem" was a result of an oxygen tank exploding on the Apollo 13.

Even though these accidents are rare, they do happen.

What can keep us mitigate the risks and keep us safe when using Medical Oxygen?

Here are a few suggestions:
To use an oxygen regulator safely, follow these steps:

Read and understand the instructions and warnings provided with the regulator.
Connect the regulator to the oxygen cylinder securely, following the manufacturer's instructions.
Make sure that the cylinder valve is closed before attaching the regulator to the cylinder.
Open the cylinder valve slowly and adjust the regulator to the desired flow rate.
Check for leaks in the regulator and cylinder connection by applying soapy water to the joint and watching for bubbles.
Do not tamper with the regulator or attempt to repair it yourself.
Store oxygen cylinders in a well-ventilated area, away from heat sources, sparks, and flames.
Turn off the regulator and close the cylinder valve when not in use.
Disconnect the regulator from the cylinder when it is empty.

Medical oxygen is stored in high-pressure cylinders and can pose a fire hazard if not handled and used properly. If a cylinder containing medical oxygen is exposed to heat, sparks, or an open flame, it can explode, causing serious damage and potential injury.
In the event of an oxygen cylinder explosion, shrapnel from the cylinder can cause physical harm, and the release of oxygen can cause a fire to rapidly spread and increase in intensity. Additionally, the pressure release from an exploding oxygen cylinder can cause a shockwave that can cause further damage and injury.
It is crucial to follow proper safety procedures when handling and using medical oxygen, such as storing it in a well-ventilated area away from heat sources and ensuring that the cylinder valve is closed when not in use. If you suspect that an oxygen cylinder has been damaged, do not handle it and evacuate the area immediately.

In conclusion, make sure the regulators you use are not old or leaking. Have them inspected yearly, as federal law demands. Always check for leaks and cracks in the hoses you using. As a general rule, hoses and regulators should be changed every five years.
